Port Lucaya Grand Bahama 5/13/2015

We left at 6:45 a.m. for Lucaya, it was a rough ride, we had some engine trouble the port side overheated so we had to slow down, which made the ride a little rougher, however, we have made the trip safe and sound and we saw Skye along the way and they are also going to Lucaya, they changed their plans due to high winds.  So we are going to meet up with them later on.

On the way there Ross decided to do some fishing, we lost the fish, the shark took 1/2 the mackeral and also the other rod, hook line and sinker.

Oh the poor mackeral got cut in half by a shark probably they don't mess around.

Ross and Gigi as we continue our journey into Port Lucaya Grand Bahama.

Ross checking out the port of entry where is the best place to go in at. make sure there isn't any shallow areas sneaky up on us.

As we enter Port Lucaya you can see some of the hotels along the canal.

A cute little lighthouse along the way.

Here is a water fountain at the UNEXCO dive center where Ross is going to do some diving.

Here I am in front of the fountains.

We came upon some fishermen as they were bringing in some conch he had at least over 100 conch in his boat, it was pretty amazing to watch how they clean them, they make a hole in the shell and pull out the slug looking creatures.

There local beer here is Sands it is pretty good.
