Coconut Grove 4/3/2015

We started our day by going into town to eat some breakfast at Greenstreet which is a quaint little place you can eat inside or outside which we eat outside because it is dog friendly as long as you eat out.  They have great eggs benedict.

Tomorrow they are having a picnic here for Easter for the boaters on picnic island. I am making an egg and potatoe dish.

Tonight is jazz night at the Peacock Gardens so we decided to celebrate and early birthday (April 6) mine there.

Ross had the seared tuna it was really tastey!!

They have beautiful orchids growing out of the side of the trees right outside the restaurant.

We got up early to see the partial eclipse of the moon.

Dinner Key Sunsets 4/2/2015

Another day is winding down here at Dinner Key.  This is my favorite time of evening, a nice breeze is blowing the halyards on the sailboats are making the sounds of wind chimes which is a pleasant sound, and can put you to sleep in the evenings.

The clouds always have an interesting pattern depending on the wind that day.

Gigi is enjoying the evening as well.

Slowly the sun is going down. How beautiful. How amazing!!

Gigi can get comfortable anywhere, she loves to hang her head down.

Good night everyone, Tomorrow is another day!

Coral Gables 4/2/2015

We took the dingy into the canals at Coral Gables, the homes there were unbelieveable and they had their own boat slips.  You have to pay attention to the names of the boats too, which some of them I found very funny.

Ross and Gigi driving the dingy into the canals of Coral Gables.

These are some of the boats here in Dinner Key Marina as we are leaving

 Knot a Klue how funny

Pelican on the marker. Gigi had to bark at it of course.

Here are are arriving in the canals and these houses are huge

They are having a small sailboat race. I love all the colorful sails.

This is either a hotel or some apartments.

Look at this gorgeous house.

This guy had a Buda prayer temple of some sort.

Here is the Coco Plum Yacht house, it was smaller in comparison to the homes.

The beautiful landscaping with bogavillia bushes and trees are unbelieveable.

Here is a small bridge we went under to explore.

The mangrove trees are crazy looking with their roots going down and coming back up into the trees themselves.

Can you see the green aguana?

Heading back to the boat. We had a picnic lunch.

The boats had some funny names, I took some pictures of a few.
