A leisure day in Coconut Grove, FL

Ross and I decided to spend a day on shore, I was going to go to some of the Coconut Grove shops and Ross was going to go his way.  We stopped for lunch at Scotty's Landing.

 Ross having a beverage

This was two coast guard boats outside the restaurant.  Notice the two big engines to chase down the bad guys.

We are not the only ones who bring their dog on a boat a beautiful Golden Retriever.

When I went to a shop this young sales lady had this owl tattoo on her arm.  I am sending it to Ana since she likes owls.  I thought the art work was really good!

Enjoying the view from the upper helm.

These are a view from different angles of our neighbors here at Dinner Key, with the view of Miami in the background.

Once again some awesome sunsets.

The life and times of Gigi Smelley

This is Gigi our 3 year old terrier mix, had to add her in since she is part of the family.  This is how she spends her day with us here in Florida on Cool Change.  Not spoiled no sir!!! She likes to cool her tummy off by sleeping on her back.

Oh what was that the dingy, I am ready for a ride.

Nope not dingy getting in some snooze time.

Another beautiful windy day here in Florida, at Coconut Grove, in Dinner Key

Hurrah a dingy ride finally!

Water sports Florida Style

As we were enjoying our day on Cool Change, a water sport boat came by advertising as a man came by, it looks easy buy I hear it is really harder than it looks.  Right out of a James Bond movie.

Dingy Project continued.

The seat is in looking good, now the steering wheel and motor will be coming on next, it is a tough job but someone has to do it.

Nice steering wheel, don't have to hold on to a stick to steer.

Dingy complete and ready for a ride with Gigi.

A great way to end a day watching the sun set in sunny Florida.

New Dingy 4/19/14 Coconut Grove in Dinner Key Mooring Field

We have arrived safely to Coconut Grove Dinner Key mooring field.  It has been a windy day up until today April 19, we had a heck of a storm last night with terrible lighting storm kind of scary some of it was too close for comfort, as I awoke this morning, it was a beautiful sunrise with calm waters.  Ross is very excited he got his new dingy yesterday.

Coconut Grove, Dinner Key mooring fields,

Gigi is excited also about the ride on the new dingy.  She loves to ride in the dingy.

Ross and Gigi enjoying the dingy.

We took our old dingy into shore and are going to pull the new one behind us.  So here we are launching the new one in.  Butch is the guy who delivered it from Lifeline.

Gigi also loves boating, a big stretch after her lazy nap time.

Ross on the dingy checking it out. He will have to add other things on it so he can lift it on Cool Change.

Hey man what's up?

Mr. Captain Ross taking a break from dingy work.

Captain Ross at it again.  He has the dingy tied up to Cool Change but the seas are getting rougher to do any drilling so I think he may call it quits for the day.
