Dinner Key in Coconut Grove Feb. 2012

Dinner Key Marina in Coconut Grove, FL http://www.miamigov.com/marinas/pages/marinas/dinnerkey_mooring.asp

This is the mooring field we are in called Dinner Key in Coconut Grove, FL which is five miles as the crow flies.

This is a picture of Miami, FL from Cool Change. it looks really nice at night, I will try to remember to take a picture of it.

This is Coconut Grove in the background with the boats in the foreground.

Ross enjoying his cup of morning coffee.

Gigi enjoying the great Florida weather.

Gigi is enjoying the breeze on the boat. It has been 82 degrees here during the day and around 65 at night perfect sleeping weather.

There are approximately 200 mooring balls here at Dinner Key in Coconut Grove, FL We are on this mooring ball number 83.

More pictures of the boats around us, not a bad view from my back yard on Cool Change.

Eva and Gigi enjoying a morning cup of coffe.

Gigi looks like she is licking her chops.

Taking a walk and looking at the roots of these trees coming out of the wall. Very interesting, you know this could ruin the wall.

This is where we are. Taking a walk along a park trail.  It is warmer on shore away from the ocean breeze.

This is where they store the boats when they work on them.

This is the lift they use to remove the boats from the water. and put them in storage or just to work on them.

Ultra light aircraft, it reminds me of a dragon fly.  They are really noisy things.

Gigi  is looking at the ultra lite aircraft like what is that?

Gigi and I enjoying the cool mornings with a cup of java.

Here is a bird cooling off in the breeze with its wings spread out.

Gigi saw the bird and was barking at it like it was trying to get us or something.

Here is the beautiful sunsets you can experience here in Florida during the winter times.

Gigi and Ross enjoying an evening relaxing on the boat after a nice meal.

Eva and Gigi enjoying the nice 82 degree temperatures in the sun with a good book.

Gigi enjoying herself.

There were two small sail boats with two ladies on them, one was teaching the other how to sail, and she didn't come around and flipped over in the high winds.

This was right next to our boat here she is trying to give her instructions on how to upright her boat.

The Coconut Grove taxi boat was coming by and is trying to help her.

She was coming too close to his boat so the owner was pushing her away with his grafting hook.

Sucess at last as she races away with her friend.

Another beautiful sunset in Florida.

Dinner with wine.

Ross enjoying our meal.

Lobster Season in Fort Lauderdale, FL

Ross is taking his wetsuit off after catching some lobster.

Getting the bucket ready to put the lobsters in. They caught 4 of them. A nice little appetizer.

Ross emptying the lobster bag. Be careful of the spines (Spiney lobsters from Florida.)

Kyle getting one of the lobsters out of the bucket.

Kyle showing me his prize catch.

Wow what a lobster mmmm good they have to be at least 6 inches long from the front horns. You can catch 6 a day per person. (If your lucky!)

Gigi enjoying the lobsters, not quite sure what to make of them.

Kyle watch a video on You tube on how to separate the head from the tails.

Long attenea on this fellow

Lots of spines you have to wear gloves to handle these critters!

Very interesting alien creatures.

Twist and pull!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ross putting the anntena on Kyle. Odd creatures for sure. But they sure do taste good.

Wow that is a big lobster.
